Overview

Worked on the development and enhancement of OCR and Capture-based intelligent document processing (IDP) workflows using BIS Grooper for a US-based client. The solution automated document capture, classification, extraction, validation, and export for high-volume documents such as prescriptions, invoices, and operational records.

Key Contributions

  • Implemented document capture pipelines to ingest files from scanners, folders, and batch sources.

  • Designed and configured OCR-based workflows for accurate text recognition and structured data extraction.

  • Built automatic document classification and routing logic based on content and confidence levels.

  • Developed custom Grooper activities in C# and VB.NET for conditional processing, transformations, and complex validations.

  • Implemented data normalization and field-level validation rules to improve extraction accuracy and consistency.

  • Integrated automated exports to AppXtender, MS SQL Server, and CMIS repositories for downstream enterprise systems.

  • Implemented business rules, error handling, retries, and audit logging for reliable batch processing.

  • Optimized OCR accuracy, capture reliability, and batch performance for high-volume workloads.

  • Provided production support by troubleshooting capture, OCR, and extraction issues.
